Исторически бленд от едноименния масив „Ривароса“, съставен от Мерло и Каберне Совиньон. Характеристиките на почвата, където има наличие на доста глина са идеални и за двата сорта. Не случайно името на масива загатва за това „рива роса“ – „червен бряг“. Гроздето се бере ръчно, после двата сорта се винифицират отделно. Първата реколта Ривароса е бутилирана през 1968 година. От тогава това е един от най-обичаните в Италия и по света „Бордо бленд“ от Фриули.
